It's Not Hip Hop, It's Electro

This band may not be in your iTunes as an album that is not a compilation unless you are a hardcore electronica freak. Daft Punk is little know and well known at the same time. Sampled by such artists as Kanye West in his latest release Stronger, these guys know how to lay down a killer beat. However, this is not a group to be overshadowed by the thin line that separates the cover from the sample.

With the release of their lastest album Alive, Daft Punk continues to transcend electronica, rock, pop, what have you. Try going to YouTube and watching their channel. It's pretty sick.

Also, for something less conventional than Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger or One More Time, try something like Human After All. Some deep tracks may start to sound a little like an episode of How It's Made on The Discovery Channel but you just have to wade through it.
